| Teachers' Lounge
The teachers' lounge is for, obviously, teachers only. This is where they meet between classes or just try and catch up on paperwork.

| Prefects' Lounge
The prefects' lounge is where the prefects meet or just hang out throughout the year. Prefects are students 5th-7th year who are chosen by the Headmistress to keep order amongst their peers, (or at least try to). There are two students chosen from each house for each of the three eligible years, and they report to the Head Boy and Head Girl.

| Bonaccord House
Named after Pierre Bonaccord, the first Supreme Mugwump of the International Confederation of Wizards, Bonaccord students are kind, caring souls. Usually coming from middle class or near destitute families, Bonaccords appreciate the small things in life and have good morals. Bonaccord is likely to be the most harmonious of the four Beauxbatons Houses, and they aren't ones to pick a fight.

| Delacour House
Delacour gets its name from none other than the prominent Delacour family, one of the latest Delacours, Fleur, represented the school in the 1994-95 Triwizard Tournament. Students of this House tend to be from more exclusive families, rather than those of middle class or lower levels. Because of this, Delacours are known for being more than a little stuck-up. They are intelligent, excelling in their studies, and they rarely let anybody forget that.

| Malecrit House
The French wizard author Malecrit was the inspiration for this house. Malecrits are a breed apart, to say the least. They are the only ones out of the four Houses who seclude themselves from the public eye. They don't like to socialize very often, not even with those from their own House. Because of this, they focus on their studies, preferring to read a book rather than chat with a friend.

| Maxime House
This house is named for Olympe Maxime, the headmistress of Beauxbatons before Madame Devereux. Maxime students are best known for being spirited, strong-willed, and determined, as well as courageous. They do what's right, but don't always think through all of the details first, resulting in mishap. They are typically fun to be around, and most enjoy their joyful presence.
